You all know how I love the old carved items, and this spectacular hand carved wall frame is a personal favorite. Entirely hand carved and detailed, it has a floral surround that is topped by a cartouche or crest with "E R" monogram. It is likely a Victorian era carving, c. 1850-80. Housing an old mirror at present, I apologize that my photographer neglected to dust the mirror before clicking photos. The mirror shows dust on top of the modest loss of silvering here or there. Since it is not the thick beveled glass mirror, though, it's one you can very easily remove and have cut from a new mirror if you'd like, or just replace with clear glass if you wish to frame a family photo or some artwork or needlework. Fabulous frame!
Very good to excellent condition, perhaps a little nip to a leaf tip or petal, but nothing substantial. We've shown it well in our images for your review. The frame is quite thick, and is beautifully carved and detailed. You're sure to love it as an accent in your own home. Nice larger size, 19.5" x 13.5" and it is 2" deep.
