Okay, perhaps I'm stretching 'antique' on this set, as they were made from about 1910-1930, so it might be more 'vintage' for a few more years. But the fine leather-clad presentation box is very early and I think we're close to that starting point more than the later years. This set appears to have been used very little, though I did clean a bit of the original old lipstick out of that case. The set is complete, undamaged, and has a compact, lipstick and pump-spray perfume flask that screws closed or opens to become it's own pump, as shown. Very classy! The enamel work on this set is beautiful, all excellent, and will thrill the collector into whose collection it finds way. Fabulous to have it in the original case, and such find quality. The maker marks and signatures are all on our images for your review. Powder puff is inside the compact, marked "Marcel Franck, or Marcel France", the tube of perfume sprayer is marked LEKIE, France, and the box also references France "Made in France - Necessaire Kid" gold embossed there in front, meaning it is covered in baby goat leather - fine fine leather in this era. Set is made in a fine alloy of brass rather than silver vermeil.
Very good to excellent throughout. Thoroughly cleaned, it appeared to have been used, but certainly not much. There is that rather frequently seen halo of moisture evidenced around outer perimeter of the mirror inside the compact case, evidence it was once cleaned and then not properly dried. This halo extends about 75% around the outer edge of mirror, but mirror is still fine in the center portion, usable. The 3 items in guilloche enamel are in very good condition without any damage to the enamel. They remain protected and housed in the original fitted presentation box, itself valuable, in kid leather. Measurements are on photos.
