Elegant antique French Belle Epoque era sterling silver 4pc hors d'oeuvre serving set with Classical foliate & acanthus accented pattern and wonderful condition! This set a complete four piece service, pate or caviar shovel, gorgeous pierced or reticulated bowl and two beautifully shaped fork pieces. A lovely set, silversmith marks are for Louis Coignet, Paris circa 1889-1893. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on all handles, the tiny number "1" within those marks designate them as having .950 silver content (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). Elegant, fine condition and as visually pleasing as can be!
Very good condition. A bit of faint visible dimpling to the handles is possible, given the age, but no dents, damage or repairs. Some very light surface scuffs but all have been recently professionally wheel polished to a high shine. The handles are sterling silver, the blades, bowls & tines are silver plate. See pictures for measurements.
