We have a whole constellation of these Victorian to Edwardian era starburst pins and pendants, most set with seed pearls as this one is, or with turquoise and pearls, sometimes tiny garnets or other gems, but this is the only one with a diamond, and is truly the best of the bunch even though the others are all gorgeous. This one is also so finely craftedm, that hinged bale up top moves smoothly as can be and all pearls sit firmly in their original settings. The diamond is approximately 1/4 carat, and we have not had it graded or weighed, but it's large enough to thrill the eye and the wearer. Whether you wear it on a chain or tuck the bale back and wear it as a lapel brooch, you'll love it long and well. A family heirloom in the making. Just beautiful! A great gift idea!
Very good to excellent, I see nothing at all to detract from your enjoyment or the value of this 100 + year old treasure. (Chain shown is not included).
