That perfect color of blue - Sevres blue! A beautiful pair of 6" tall decanters that are so deliciously painted in that thick impasto enamel style we love, they are bouquets all on their own even before you tuck in a few stemmed flowers. Perfect at table, but we like these as liqueur decanters, as well and have also thought of them for syrups for a brunch service. Yes, we like to put our antique items in service, and not let them gather dust on a vitrine shelf, as they were originally made as useful items. We like the life in them to extend, and with careful use, they will thrill your guests for generations to come, too. A pair, they were likely stoppered at the beginning, though we see no scrapping or evidence of stoppers. They seem to be styled for apothecary styled heavy stoppers, however, and were perhaps vanity jars to start. No matter, they are now fabulous as they stand. Yes, a matching pair - mantel vases, if you wish.
Very good to excellent condition, ready to decorate your home, table, vanity top.
