Silversmith: Dominique LAPORTE, 20 rue des Filles-Saint-Thomas, PARIS, 1825 - 1853. Also stamped "Turquet", so blades are likely Laporte, a 'coutelier' or knives maker. Gorgeous set of six antique French sterling silver and 18K gold gilded or vermeil 7.75" fruit or cheese knives with Gordian knot motif and ornate monogram! A beautiful set, the handles and blades are both gilded sterling silver. The pattern is subtle enough to easily incorporate into an existing vermeil service or use them as elegant stand alone serving pieces!
Very good condition. One piece has the monogram removed, visible in the images. No other flaws or repairs. See pictures for measurements.
