Elegant antique French sterling silver & cobalt glass 4pc open salt set with 4pc salt spoons and original opulent storage and/or presentation box! A lovely set here, sure to add an extra bit of elegance to any setting in which they're used AND one of two boxed open salt sets that we're adding this week! All eight pieces, the salt frames and spoons, bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those markings means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Alphonse Debain, Paris circa 1883-1910. A wonderful set, don't miss them!
Very good condition. One of the cobalt glass inserts is a replacement. Possibly a tiny dimple or two to the silver and some tiny nips to the glass inert rims but, as you can see, all are in wonderful condition. The box also very well preserved, as you can see in the images.
Always a pleasure for us here at Antiques & Uncommon Treasure to offer fine quality antique jewelry.
