Larger than the measurement seems to make it, this is a full-sized pitcher for water for table use, 19th century hand made work from the workshops of Daum, no doubt. Unsigned but attribution based on catalogues with the form and decorative effect prove us out. One of the prettiest forms we've seen, I'm tempted to keep this one for my own table, but we know you Daum collectors will want to see it.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. I se no chips or cracks and no hairlines. There is no evidence of any repair or restoration. The raised gold enamel work is entirely hand applied. Such unique work in glass, that ruffling collar of French rocaille. Will hold a full bottle of wine. Has a very slight haze to interior at the bottom of the pitcher that disappears entirely with addition of fluid.
