Fine antique English Victorian era scent caddy or perfume casket, an elegant "quilted" mother of pearl & abalone parquetry box with SIX original blown glass scent bottles and marvelous visual appeal! Always a necessity when arranging my personal vitrine, these wonderful mother of pearl pieces are both as attractive as can be and add a touch of style or flare to whatever your main love might be (not to say that these can't be the focus of your attention, I simply love them)! This is one of three little (or not so little in this case) mother of pearl caskets that we found while in Europe, the others shown currently listed with more on the way. The largest of them here and the only pearl sextet scent casket we have. A shimmering treasure chest!
Very good condition. A small nip or two here & there but no large chips, no missing pearl panels. There is a chip to the edging on the inside front of the lid (where the clasp hooks). The bottles inside are all original, two have chips to a bottom corner that makes them unable to hold liquid. Original hinges, lock, etc.. See pictures for measurements.
