Elegant antique to vintage French hallmarked sterling silver egg cup with attached base tray or saucer, matching spoon and vermeil lined interior and spoon bowl! A simple but elegant bead festooned pattern encircling the cup, base and spoon's handle. Both pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva mark, 1st titre designating .950 silver content or 95% pure silver (higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Silversmith marks are different on the spoon and egg cup so they're not original to each other but similar in age. The cup is marked by Olier & Caron, Paris circa 1910-1936 and the spoon by Henin & Cie., Paris c. 1896. Not too many of us seem to have time to enjoy a hot breakfast, or breakfast at all, but why not slow down and enjoy life a bit more. Spoil yourself! Great for a soft boiled egg, get out a setting of your fine silver, add some toast and fruit and then spend the rest of the day in a hot bath ;).
Very good condition. A small dimple possible but no large dents, no damage or repairs. Some slight wear to the vermeil on the spoon bowl. See pictures for measurements.
