Sometimes you've got champagne taste and cola budget, and for that great look of fine old French flatware, but without investing thousands of dollars to have sterling silver, we're offering this nice suggestion. Here we have a fine antique French Maison Christofle hallmarked 24pc silver plated flatware set, a full service for 12 in dinner sized forks & spoons with a "Filet" or "Old English Thread" style pattern and in a solid oak fitted storage and/or presentation box with crown topped unicorn armorial style heraldry engraved in the lid! Yes, silver plated instead of sterling, all but two forks are marked with the Christofle silversmith hallmarks. Think of it this way, you get all the elegance of old French flatware but without the sterling price tag! All great, heavy dinner sized pieces and with all of the elegance of our French sterling silver sets! A great old French set, don't miss it!
Good condition. There is some wear to the silver plating in areas, more visible on the fork tines, etc. Look at the images, I've tried adding quite a few close-up shots and also shown all pieces front & back. It appears that two of the forks are replacements, one by Cardeilhac and another of a different maker in the same pattern but with a monogram on the handle. The box is in great shape, some polish wear to the armorial heraldry engraving but the lock is working and there is a key. See pictures for all weights and measurements.
