A spectacular service for your guests, aperitif set in mouth-blown St. Louis glass with applied ripple ribbon edging and hand decorated raised gold enamel. The set includes one liqueur decanter with original tall stopper, and 9 matching original cordials. One has a chip on the ruffle, so consider it is a set for 8, one spare in a pinch. Entirely hand crafted, survives in remarkably fine condition for age. Mid-1800s, the decanter with stopper is 10" tall, 2.25" diameter. Cups are shot glass size, typical of the aperitif/liqueur serving size.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Originally, sets like this would usually have a matching under tray and perhaps 2 decanters and 12 cups. Rarely do those survive in full, but the remainders like this set are fabulous at table, too. As noted, one of the cups has a chip on the ruffle ripple trim. You might find a tiny nip roughness with your finger run over rims, but there are no significant chips. Stopper and decanter are in remarkably fine condition for age and type. Measurements are noted on the photos.
