Just for that corner where you want a little tabletop or shelf beside a chair, or in a Master bath or guest bath upon which to stack folded towels or toiletries near the tub, this is such a wonderful corner piece. It's really more a table than a shelf, to be mounted on the wall so the bottom is slightly above your floor moulding. You can see how it mounts, yes? We've shown it upside down, too, and tried to show you how gorgeous the carving is. The perfect Country French touch. One might even consider mounting it into the outer corner of kitchen cabinetry, to hold a vase or a big French soup pot, just as a decorative tough. But I digress. This is elegantly crafted, dates late 1800s to perhaps as late as 1910, and is complete and without losses to diminish either value or enjoyment. Customize your living space; use the antiques. Pass them on as heirlooms.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. There are no breaks nor chips to the carved appliqué, nor to the shelf or its corner-mount stand. A full 31" tall, imagine how beautiful it will be mounted. I wish I had the perfect corner for it! The top shelf is 10" deep and 9.5" in depth on each side. Perfect for use.
