A wonderful late 1800s to as late as 1915 triple frame, ready to display your favorite 3 oval aperture photos in the 4" x 6" range. The frame is a masterpiece, thick and beautiful old burled hardwood that is set with brightly polished brass stringing and coordinating brass oval matting, and backed in fine old leather so you can display this one even in places where the back of the frame will show, such as a desk top. Tiny hinged tabs on back turn to release the 3 back coverings and open easily for you to insert your photos from the backside (see photos). The 3 panels are hinges so they create their own self-stand, like a dressing screen would. The 3 panels do not close completely over one another, so the frame must be shipped as a flat panel 15.25" long. An overall height of nearly 9" makes this a fine and substantial frame of elegant presentation. Perfect for your family or mine.
Very good to excellent condition, just as you see it in our photos. I have no flaws to note, really. The brass stringing (inlay) is all well set; the glass panels are all undamaged; the leather backing is in remarkably nice condition and is of finest quality. All tabs are present, and the old burled wood is just gorgeous. Truly a rich look.
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time!
