From the Napoleonic era, this collection of Old Paris porcelain represents the remains of a larger and very fine c.1800 service. The pieces we have still here are all in very good condition, no chips. There is a bit of surface gold rubbed, particularly on the 2 large chocolate cups interior lips, but lightly so in other spots (view our images to see). The large chocolate and or coffee pot is in very fine condition, complete with its lid, as is also the covered sugar bowl. Set is comprised of large pot, large sugar bowl, one large saucer (underplot for coffee/chocolate pot, perhaps) and 7 more standard saucers; 2 large chocolate cups an 2 normal-sized coffee/tea cups. Fourteen pieces in all, along with 2 more that are the lids to the pot and sugar bowl. These are Empire period, not later productions. No maker marks so we must call them "Old Paris". Could be Vincennes, Sevres, ?.
Very good to excellent for age and type, with none of these remainder pieces showing chip nor hairline, no cracks. Some light rubs to gold here or there, mostly handles of cups and the inner rim of the chocolate cups, but slightly so on some saucers. Our photos show the pieces well and from all angles. Wonderful pieces to use if you're having a romantic evening meal. Or to use at breakfast with chocolate pot, typical of French service. These are the larger sized pieces - measurements noted on our photos.
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time!
