A wonderful and large & heavy pair of 2 fine old cut glass sweetmeat dishes, or perhaps rose bowls, navette-shaped or slightly boat-like in form and on a beautifully cut base. Likely Moser but unsigned. Definitely Bohemian. These came to us from a local Rancho Santa Fe estate, along with a matching pair of 12" tall candlesticks which we're offering separately (sold separately). The cut work and wheel-engraving is fabulous on these. You can see the one has stag, the other a deer, lots of facets and the work is beautifully done. Solid and heavy, the base is very sturdy, and they hold a larger than taper-sized candle. Thrilling in light! Don't miss this diamond-like old set of 2. There 4.5" tall, 6" long and 4" deep side to side, and base is 3" square. Measurements in full on the photos.
Very good condition, they might have a tiny nip on a facet cut on base, and I can feel two tiny nips on upper rims. No considerable chips and no cracks or breaks, no restorations. The tiny roughness nips are likely from a spoon and can certainly be easily filed off should you wish them to be perfect. They're thrilling in light. I need to teach my photographer how to photograph crystal and glass, I think, and perhaps we'll do new photos on these. Note the fine detail throughout.
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time.
