Lovely vintage post-1968 hallmarked Italian sterling silver 8" x 5 7/8" picture frame, ornate rococo or Louis XVI style bas relief facade with song bird figures, original blue velvet back & easel stand and in wonderful condition. Vintage yes but this style has been steadily popular for over 100 years now, some date to the late 1800s and, as is the case with this one, some are quite a bit newer. The hallmarks on this piece are Italian and date to sometime right around 1968 when this style of mark was employed. The "925" marking simply stands for sterling silver, .925 o5 92.5% pure being the standard. One of several vintage to antique sterling silver on-lay picture frames and vanity mirrors that we're adding this week, be sure to browse some while you're with us to complete your ensemble. Thanks!
