Gorgeous antique Continental German hallmarked .800 (nearly sterling) silver & shimmering cut crystal 9.5" claret jug or decanter, unique shaping with thick & heavy, deeply wheel cut crystal body & stopper that shimmer like diamonds and elegant silver handle & spout! Quite striking really! The collar below the spout has the crescent & crown German silver hallmark, the "800" designates the silver content of at least .800 (80% or better) silver. The silversmith mark is for Hugo Bohm, Schwabisch Gmund circa 1887-1900. A gorgeous piece in fine condition, don't miss it! Also be sure to take a look at the other gorgeous claret jugs we have available including two elegant French sterling silver pieces, in addition to a host of fine antique French sterling silver coffee, chocolate & tea pots and, of course, exquisite flatware. Thanks!
Very good condition. The most notable flaw is some white film on the inside though it's not too bad and not visible when filled (as you can see in the one image). Possibly a tiny nip or two to the crystal body but no chips that I can see and there are no cracks. There is one flash chip to one side of the stopper. See pictures for all measurements.
