Beautiful antique French sterling silver Belle Epoque era 30pc flatware set, a 5pc place setting for SIX with gorgeous foliate pattern, luncheon knives with figural accents and all in wonderful condition! Exceptional! The original 4pc place setting of forks & spoons all have a matching pattern, beautifully ornate with acanthus accents, foliate sprays and interlaced monograms that appear to be "LE" (though I'm likely mistaken). I haven't had a chance to search for the pattern name yet, in too much of a hurry to get them on but will look in the coming days to see what I can find. Stunning nonetheless, more ornate that usual with the laurel framing running the length of the handles. Just gorgeous. The knives are not original to the set, a slightly different pattern but equally as beautiful, featuring mascaron style figures at the base of the handles, sterling blades and the compliment the set wonderfully! All bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're all in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The knife blades also bear the Minerve mark but are 2nd titre (tiny number "2") which means they're in .800 silver or 80% pure and common in knife blades due to the added strength & durability that comes with the slightly lower silver content. The silversmith marks are for Henri Lapeyre, Paris circa 1895-1923. The knives marked for Henin & Vivier, Paris circa 1891-1896. A truly fine ensemble, perfect to impress your innermost circle. Guaranteed to impress!

Very good to excellent condition. No bends, breaks, damage or repairs to note. Some slight surface scuffs here & there but, as you can see, all are as beautiful as can be....especially when you take their 100 or so years into consideration. See pictures for individual weights and measurements.
