Just a little item, something from our Belle Epoch era (c.1900) when a cigarette or cheroot would be best smoked using an extender or holder like the one you see here. This one is made of amber, (cherry amber from the color of it) and is inlaid with 18k gold monogram in the truest French style - elaborate and scrolling. The case is in bad condition but it does remain with the holder. We can't keep these in inventory and do pick them up as we can when shopping in France (which I've been doing). Writing the listing from Berlin and hope you enjoy this one in hand before I get back to home. Rick will be sure it arrives quickly.
Very good condition, the holder seems close to unused, though the case its in is rather well-used and a bit shaky at the hinges. But since it's original to the holder, we're certainly including it. The gold monogram has been acid tested and is 18k gold, making us all the more certain of its French heritage.
