Gorgeous antique French Louis Philippe era vermeil or 18k gold on sterling silver 9" serving dish or platter PAIR, each with an ornate rococo style bordering and large interlaced monograms! Aren't these fabulous! A matched pair, both in heavy solid French sterling silver with a vermeil or 18k gold finish! Beautiful shaping, the borders feature seashell shapes at the five corners and an ornate rococo style scrolled acanthus. Each shows the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're made of .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Jean Francois Veyrat, Paris circa 1832-1840. A truly remarkable pair here, don't miss them.
Very good condition. Some slight wear to the vermeil finish on the raised edges but, as you can see, both pieces are free of dents, damage or repairs. One piece weighs 408 grams, the other weighs 376 grams. See pictures for total weights and measurements.
