Luxuriant living, pre-WWII, and so beautifully preserved, it almost feels as though this case's owner used it once or twice and it's been in storage ever since. But for the fact that there's no 'storage' smell to it, I'd have to think that it might well be the case. This stunning 1931 hallmarked London goldsmith-made gilt sterling and cut glass vanity set is so beautifully housed in its original cordovan leather travel case, you're going to want to put it to some use yourself. Great, too, displayed open or closed on a dresser top or in your well-appointed master bath/dressing room. Rich royal purple moire silk interior is in fine condition, with the single exception of a perfume or cologne stain which can be seen in our images. The entire case is FABU! Very good to excellent condition, age considered. There is one bottle that has a chipped rim, and one whose cap doesn't quite want to screw on completely (probably needs a bit more tarnish polished off and then it will). The gold wash is heavy, since you can't see the sterling showing through. Stoppers in place, none chipped. Great as a gentleman's case or for a stylish lady, as well. And at our price, you couldn't even buy half the jars! Don't miss out.
