Wonderful antique French sterling silver 1 7/8" napkin ring, 95% pure silver with ornate guilloche style machined pattern including Neo Gothic style shapes and unique banner shaped medallion with feather or quill and engraved "PC" monogram! It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, 1st quality for .950 silver content (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is for Paul Massat, Paris circa 1877-1885.

Very good condition. Weighs a heavy 42 grams, built to last (as it has for its 100 plus years), great condition as you can see from the images. There is one tiny visible split on the back bottom (where the sterling band is joined into the ring shape via silver solder. Some surface scuffing but it's in wonderful shape.
