A fabulous find! This elegant photo frame is of solid burled wood beset with a matte panel of needlepoint and an inner brass framing of the 5" x 3.75" aperture. The frame is brilliantly conceived and crafted, and is a 16" tall and 10" wide anchor to your collection of your family framed photos group. Dating late 1800s to as late as 1920, we'd say, it remains in lovely antique condition and ready to use.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Glass is in place and you can see from our photos how you open up the backing to insert your family photo. Very slight darkening here or there on that delicately stitched needlepoint mat, visible for your review on our images. We have done nothing to clean it and perhaps it will be simple to do. Silk and wool yarns used. The wood grain is magnificent!
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time.
