Fabulous - all on it's own, or with flowers or fruit - candles - you name it. I have acquired 2 of these extra large table centerpieces in Baccarat crystal with deep lobes that cast brilliant light patterns. They're being offered separately, since most won't have a table large enough to require 2 of these. But you can certainly buy both so look for the other one, (sold separately as #1 and #2). The tazza-form raised and opulently formed centerpiece is from the Napoleon III era, or Second Empire, a period when the Empire fashions and designs of Napoleon were revived and again set standards for aesthetic throughout the world. To have found 2 of these (again, selling separately) is astounding. Not a bit of damage, just some evidence of age. I wish my photographer had done more to show you how the light plays through those thick lobes of crystal. I might add some photos later. But the piece is heavy, very grand in impression and cachet, both. It is 14.5" in diameter at the 4" deep upper platter, and rises to a height of 9.25". Base is 6.5" and the piece is very sturdy. A thick cast metal base, I do not think it is more bronze, but might be.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. There are no chips, no nips, no damage at all to the fabulous lobe-cast crystal platter bowl. No damage to the stand, either. A rich gold patina and spectacular presence! And yes, we'll pack with our usual world-famous excellence so nothing arrives damaged, too. You are buying one tazza/centerpiece. There are 2, but the other matching one is sold separately.
