Beautiful antique French Belle Epoque or Victorian era sterling silver 36oz coffee or tea pot in the Aesthetic style with seashell accented feet & spout, pear shaped body and large interlaced "EM" or "ME" monogram. Elegant, very French and in thick, heavy gauge sterling silver weighing an impressive 18 troy ounces or 564 grams. A combination of styles with the rocaille, seashells and textured front of the spout, this would fall into the Aesthetic Movement or "Aestheticism" that emerged in Europe during the late 19th century. Both the body and lid bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within means it's in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Adolphe Boulenger, Paris circa 1876-1899. A beautiful piece in wonderful condition, don't miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. Possibly a tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, no damage or repairs to note. See pictures for measurements.
