Usually when we find these old Napoleon III era scent caddies, we open then to find missing or broken bottles and or tattered and incomplete fittings into which they might fit. But as you can see, this one surprised me with a most elegant and pristine interior. The old Baccarat scent bottles remain undamaged, still with their fitted stoppers intact and still set beautifully in that creamy silk interior. No question on this one - display it open. Even though it's got some nice French inlay in the boulle fashion, and the stringing and ebony to speak well for it, it's the fine old baccarat in full form with its gold enamel that begs to be open to view. The casket is a beautiful dressing table or cabinet display piece for your home or store, and sure to become a favorite.
Excellent Baccarat bottles inside, and a Very good casket into which they have been safely stored these past 150 or so years. A superb display!
