So, you have a fine old set of French sterling silver vermeil ice cream spoons and servers and you're wondering what would be the perfect plates for them to compliment, right? Here is the perfect ice cream or sorbet plate set - French and antique and fabulous, the stylized leaf-shaped small bowl or plate is hand blown and scallop-edged, rimmed in gold, and each is perfectly accented with deep wheel cut intaglio engraved florals - truly stunning! They're about 5" wide and deep, odd-shaped, perfect for a bit of dessert of any type. Aren't they simply magnificent? I need to set up and photograph them with a place setting so you can see how they would look. Will do that and add the image. Meanwhile, look at these - Yummm!
Very good condition, no chips or breaks or cracks and only the lightest loss to the gilted ridge. Stack well, too, for your storage ease. A great set we'd date to Napoleon III era (roughly 1840-70) but we might be off a little either way.
