A charming American or possibly Victorian English antique, this small sewing machine does actually work. One turns the handle at right and the mechanism will sew. I do not quite see how it works without a bobbin. I have not tried to run fabric through it, actually, but lets ing you know it does all run, move smoothly. Feed dogs function well. I find no maker mark on this old one. And we did buy it ages ago in the USA, feel quite sure it is a USA toy from mid-late Victorian era. I have no expertise in this area, and welcome anyone's input if you do. Thank you in advance. Such a charming item, great display or collector's piece for the seamstress. All measurements noted on the photos.

Very good condition for age and type. It does all function. I have not put in a machine needle or threaded it, run cloth through, but all parts that need to move are moving smoothly. Feed dogs rise and have grip. No maker mark noted anywhere, but it is a lovely decorator item painted by hand in a Dutch primitive manner. No breaks or loss, though you can see a little rust or surface discoloration on the platform (we did not try to clear it with any products - it might well come right off with slightly abrasive polish). Just clearing out a lot of crated antiques in the warehouse to clear room for buying trip inventory coming in.

Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time!
