HEAVY antique continental .800 (nearly sterling) silver 2” napkin ring with ornate Empire style including seashell & foliate accents and medallion with “Henry” inscription or dedication! This one bears what appear to be German hallmarks though I've not found a direct reference to the silversmith yet. The "800" means it's in at least 80% pure silver so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver. A lovely, very French looking napkin ring though and quite heavy.
Yes, a single here but we’ve amassed well over 100 great old mostly French sterling napkin rings over the years and I’m working on them now. They're great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own! We have rococo style napkin rings, guilloche style machined or engraved napkin rings, French Empire style napkin rings, personalized napkin rings with the original owners’ names on them… Just a massive array of styles and aesthetically unbeatable! Browse and enjoy, they’re all so lovely and sure to add to your fine dining experience (and that of your guests, too)!
Good to very good condition. This one weighs a heavy 42 grams, built to last Some light surface discolorations but they're actually less visible to the eye than in the images. See pictures for measurements.
