Elegant & rare antique French hallmarked sterling silver 4pc hors d'oeuvres serving set with ornate Neo-Classical style "Louis XVI" pattern with musical instrument motif! Magnificent! We've offered a comprehensive flatware set in this pattern and it is one of the more sought after. All as fine as can be! A very rare style, the pattern is referred to as "Decor de Trophees de Musique Style Neoclassique" and also "Louis XVI" in our guide book. Bagpipes, horns or bugles, flowers & foliage and even the ever present French bow & ribbon! All four bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks on the luncheon or dessert sized pieces are for Alphonse Lapparra, Paris circa 1895-1902. A truly fabulous ensemble, don't miss them!
Very good condition. Some light surface scuffs, indicative of age and light use but no damage or flaws to note. The box is also in great shape but missing the upper portion of its clasp. See pictures for individual weights and measurements.
