Elegant antique French Belle Epoque era PAIR of sterling silver tea cup & saucer set or demitasse sized coffee or espresso service for two, 4pcs with Empire style raised or applied cartouches with birds, torches & arrow filled quivers on top, laurel branches below and oval medallions with interlaced monograms! A cup & saucer pair here, meaning there are two cups and two saucers in this set, perfect for an intimate evening or cappuccino, maybe just doppio, in the morning to get your day started :). Both beautifully simplistic in design with acanthus accented handles on the cups and then those lovely raised medallions. All pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in at least .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Maitre Orfevre Joseph Crossard, Paris circa 1900-1920. A wonderful service for two, don't miss them!
Very good condition. Some light surface scuffing and possibly a tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, etc. There are a few darkened spots on the surface. These mirror-like silver pieces are so hard to photograph, we always end up with reflections and discolorations but you really must see to truly appreciate. See pictures for weights and measurements.
