A lovely set of luncheon or dessert/salad plates dating c.1920, and by English china maker, George Jones, Ltd for distribution by TIFFANY & Co., New York. Double marked on back of each to show these facts. The set is comprised of 8 plates, 8.75" diameters. They are each wonderful decorator plates or for table use. Transfers of colorful bouquets of flowers create a center and 5 cartouche around the apple green border, which is further adorned by gold enamel work. The look of luxury and a fine retailer and maker, but a very affordably priced set.
Very good to excellent, no damage to any of the plates. They appear to have been cabinet plates or decorator plates only. Perhaps a light rub to gold border on one or two, but we didn't really notice it. Just will suggest you may find a bit from the age alone.
