Fabulous antique French Louis-Philippe era 'Chauffre' or chaffing dish, an elegant silver plate buffet warmer tray with ornate foliate side handles & footed base! Three pieces, well actually four if you separate the lid and bottom of the heating oil fixture. Jean Francois Veyrat hallmarks, a prominent Parisian silversmith whose work consisted mostly of sterling silver (making this silverplate piece all the more unique). A lobed body to the bowl shaped base, the side handles and bottom in an ornate scrolling foliate tableau. The round 'tray' top has a large 10.5" diameter and will keep your culinary offerings warm with undeniable visual appeal!
Very good condition. No obvious dents or damage, possibly a tiny dimple or two. NO repairs to note. There is some surface scuffing or scratching on the top 'tray' platform, seen in the images, but no loss of silver plating to note. See pictures for measurements.
