Fabulous & HEAVY antique French sterling silver 2” napkin ring with ornate Louis XVI style including flower & foliate accents and rocaille framed medallion with “A. Rassat” inscription or dedication! The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within that mark means it's 1st quality for .950 silver content (at least 95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark on this one is for Claude Doutre Roussel, Paris circa 1895.
Yes, a single here but we’ve amassed well over 100 great old mostly French sterling napkin rings over the years and I’m working on them now. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own! We have rococo style napkin rings, guilloche style machined or engraved napkin rings, French Empire style napkin rings, personalized napkin rings with the original owners’ names on them… Just a massive array of styles and aesthetically unbeatable! Browse and enjoy, they’re all so lovely and sure to add to your fine dining experience (and that of your guests, too)!
Very good condition. This one weighs an overly heavy 64 grams, built to last, great condition as you can see from the images. Some light surface scuffing and a bit of tarnish in the recesses. See pictures for measurements.
