Beautiful antique English Victorian era 9.25" decorative cabinet plate, a unique 'ringed' border with floral accents highlighted in gold enamel and with a colorful hand painted floral centerpiece! We've been working our way through a host of great old plate sets and singles, trying to get them listed and here's another wonderful single! English origins, the back has an impressed stamp design registration mark, or 'kite mark'. References say this particular style was used between 1842-1867 (some say as late as 1883) and the letters, etc. within the kite mark all have a meaning. This one appears to have a date of October 1845. A wonderful piece, perfect for cabinet, vitrine or even wall hung decoration and one of several so, be sure to browse some while you're with us. They're a relatively easy way to spruce up your decor and add some needed color!
Very good to excellent condition. No rim chips, no cracks and no repairs. Some visible age wear or fading to the gold enamel encircling the white center, just as you see it in the images.
