Fabulous vintage Swedish 1928 hallmarked 18k gold sewing thimble with carved carnelian tip and fitted red leatherette case, box or etui! Lovely and in wonderful condition. Held in a fitted box or etui that's likely a bit earlier than than the thimble itself and a treasure on its own. The box has gold embossed decoration and fitted interior, also in fine shape and great for presentation or display. The thimble is subtle but elegant with the 'jewelry' like addition of the carved carnelian tip. No monograms so you can add your own if you wish. The hallmarks are Swedish as designated by the three crowns with the town code M (Malmö), 18k, date mark B8 (1928), and maker's mark GD & Co. for Guldvaruaktiebolaget G. Dahlgren & Co.. A lovely piece, don't miss it!
Very good condition. Our pictures show great detail so enjoy. There is very slight surface scuffing to the thimble and a small flaw along the mounting around the carnelian tip (looks like two tiny dimples). The box is also in great shape with the original clasp and only a bit of surface abrasions. See images for weight and measurements.
