Fabulous antique Victorian era Black Forest hand carved 10 1/4" tall liqueur or liquor tantalus, a charming caddy complete with stunning 14pc Bohemian enameled blue glass decanter & cup set! Isn't this one gorgeous! I just love the blue glass and colorful raised enamel! You don't often see these fine old Black Forest liqueur stands with anything other than intaglio etched clear glassware so this piece really does stand out. As visually attractive as can be, great as an eye-catching decorative piece whether you decide to use it or not! We're not sure of the glass maker, Bohemian for sure, possibly Harrach or Moser? The enamel work is superb with textured gold flecked bands, flowers & leaves, all painted on so thick you can see and feel how they're raised from the electric blue glass. Gold rims on the cups and around the tops of the decanter spouts, all beautifully done. A gorgeous set!
Very good condition. No damage or flaws to note with the carved wood caddy, possibly a tiny nip or two but no large chips, no breaks, damage or repairs. The glassware is all in wonderful shape, save for three cups. Three of the cups have cracks, one with a glued repair to the handle (handle broke off), one with a glued break and another with just a crack down from the top near the handle. No other chips, damage or repairs. Some wear to the gold rims is all. See pictures for all measurements.
