Wonderful little not caddy for your monogrammed (or favorite) note cards, envelopes, or for same provided for your guests' use. The caddy is entirely made of hand carved wood, light in color on this one rather than the darker color we usually think of with Black Forest, but yes, it is Black Forest carved and late 1800s to earliest 1900s, entirely carved with a charming (and sought after) acorn and oak leaf motif as you can see. Measurements are noted on the photos. It's also a wonderful size to hold your recipe cards, by the way, if you wish to use it in the kitchen of your home, cabin, ski lodge, French Country or English Manor decor. Great accent item - I have a similar one near my kitchen phone on counter top and it keeps all sorts of things at hand.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, there is a single nick to the second to back divider, about in the middle. I did not put any stain or cover-up on it just so you could see the little tiny flaw and evaluate it. It will cover nicely if you choose to do so (and I would). But other than that tiny spot, it's really in remarkably fine condition. Measurements are on photos.
