Absolutely charming & rare 19th century to earliest 1900s hand carved Black Forest bear figure is a desktop single inkwell with hand painted mouth, black glass bead eyes and his paws double as the pen/quill holder! Carved from a solid piece of wood, this head is hinged at the neck and hidden inside is the glass ink pot. Just the upper portion of the bear's body here, extended front legs with upturned paws to hold the writer's implement when not in use. Fabulous & we've set a low price to him so don't miss him!
Very good condition! A scuff to the tip of his nose and to the sides of his paws but no chips, breaks or repairs. Sterling silver handled pen is not included. See pictures for measurements.
