What a fabulous "miniature" chair vitrine. This is a BIG one, nearly 12.5" tall and 5" widest. Whether you choose this for your Bru or other antique doll furniture (Victorian bamboo style to the metal - fabulous!), or decide you have fabulous smalls you wish to display inside as a good sized vitrine box (these thick beveled glass panels draw and expand the light in a way that makes the interior seem lighted), you'll love the way it looks. Jewelry? Sure. Micromosaic, or other jewelry pieces would look magnificent within. Even portrait miniatures might work, 3 (2 against back and side, perhaps with another lying flat in bottom). As you can see in that final photo, it's on display in one of our bathrooms just now in our main house, along with my collection of Grand Tour eglomise souvenir items (see that lovely reflection of a toilet paper holder in the mirror of this chair - haha). Extra large size is wonderful! Measurements in full are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout, with exception of one very small nip to one corner of the top panel of deep beveled glass. The mirror is excellent, no bad silver. The original embossed paper backing and bottom liner remain fully intact and a nice presentation quality for views from all sides. There is a little bend to the lower 1" of one back leg. Could very easily be straightened out and should have been before my photographer did his work. We'll straighten it out nicely, but you can look at it as it is today. There is, perhaps the original, a hand-sewn padded bottom liner with elaborate silk knots (one missing). We've detailed it in our images. Bottom is also zinc/tin lined.
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time!
