Someone's mid-1800s souvenir of their visit to Lourdes, this charming little holy font with mother of pearl font and alabaster backing set into a bright gold alloy ormolu frame, a devotional to Mary, Mother of Christ, as focus and a charming long-leafed flower overlooking the font. These are such charming accents, and just so very French, aren't they.
Very good to excellent, no breaks in the alabaster backing nor the natural mother of pearl half-shell, and the framework is all complete and undamaged. Just the patina of age to all. Ready to hang, original hanging loop still up top. Measurements noted on photos, but it is 5.25" tall, 3" widest and 1.5" in depth.
