A beautiful hand painted portrait miniature on slightly convex porcelain plaque (no cover glass), in a nice old French easel-backed bow top frame. I am quite certain this is a a KPM portrait and it is signed Wagner, if I'm reading it right. You see our photos and perhaps you can tell. I have taken her out of frame to see if there's a KPM mark on back, however, and there is not one. So if it is KPM, it is an unmarked one. A lovely painting, however. The old frame is also charming, and I only brightened the front but it can be more highly polished should that be your preference. Easel stand and hanging loop, both.
Very good to excellent, no damage at all to report. Dates mid-late 1800s, and I recognize the more famous painting but can't just now think whose it is. Perhaps you'll be able to recall. These paintings were sometimes done as Grand Tour souvenirs and I suspect that is what this one began as. Porcelain plaque is completely damage free. Measurements are noted on our photos, but it is 2.5" x 2.25" oval, bow not added into the measurements. The depth is .25".
