Wonderful antique Continental hallmarked sterling silver & cut crystal or glass 5.5" tall 4oz liquor flask with removable shot glass base, interlaced monogram & wonderful condition! Flasks aren't especially our forte but every now and then we find one that simply calls out, this truly a beautiful piece with thick wheel cut crystal body and subtle yet elegant sterling silver base/cup and cap. Both the collar of the top and base of the cup bear German hallmarks, marked "925" which is rather rare since most German silver is .800 or 80% silver content. The hallmarks are the German national mark (reichsmark) consisting of a crescent moon & crown (Halbmond und Krone) representing the entire German state, a mark employed after 1886. Silversmith marks of "H&B" but I've not been able to find reverence to the maker as of yet. An elegant flask, don't miss it.
Very good condition. There is some dimpling around the edge of the base/cup and a slight push to the bulbous portion of the lid but no chips, cracks or damage to the crystal body other than possibly a tiny nip or two to the base. See pictures for measurements.
