A superb pair (1) of opera glasses or binoculars, larger than most by quite a bit, and clad in the most beautiful and fine kiln-fired enamel barrels in everyone's favorite color, Celeste or Sevres blue. Hand decorated with bouquets of flowers, and the adjustment knob opens the set as you can see, smoothly, fully. Lenses are clear and work properly, no chips or cracks on any of them. Opera/Ballet season is at hand. These might as well be in yours. The set is, as noted, oversized at . Monogram reads:
Very good condition for age and type. the barrel covers show beautifully well. Jeweled dots frame in the hand painted enamel bouquets on all 4 sides, and stars and rocaille in gold further decorate the set. There had been one enamel chip and our professional enamelist has done a lovely restoration. Price consideration for that flaw already has been taken. I'm sure you can see just a hint of it in our images, toward bottom of one barrel. Mother of pearl eye pieces and adjustment knob are without chips or cracks.
Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time!
