Here’s an fine collection of Late Victorian/Edwardian mourning ephemera. There are 17 In Memoriam cards, 4 printed sympathy thank-yous and 3 hand written condolence letters with envelopes. All are on black bordered paper.
They mainly date from 1883 to 1915. One is dated 1932.
All are in good to excellent condition. Some of the folds from the memoriam cards have split so folders are now in two pieces. They are from England, Scotland and Ireland. One is in French from Brussels. This is an unusual and desirable collection giving us a look into the mourning customs of a bygone era.
