This antique Art Nouveau 14K yellow gold enamel four leaf clover pin features a center diamond and seed pearls. The enamel work has intricate veining and leaf shading. The center diamond has terrific sparkle with the seed pearl detail adding another layer of dimension to the pin.
The enamel clover pin measures approx. 1" in diameter. The center diamond measures approx. 3mm which equates to approximately 10 points. It is unmarked as to gold purity but has been jeweler tested to be 14K gold. The pin weighs 2.6 grams.
Condition: Good antique condition with all seed pearls present, original, and secure. The diamond is secure in its setting. There is some very light wear to the leaf edge and third leaf tip enamel. Please use the zoom feature to see the pin in greater detail. The pin has a C-clasp closure which functions appropriately. There is a tiny lever attached to the closure, seen in photo four, which may have locked the pin stem into place at one time but does not seem to do anything at this point. We have had this checked by our jeweler who agrees that while the lever may have been part of a closure system, it is not functional nor necessary to the pin's security, and advised to just leave it alone for fear of damaging the enamel. A beautiful example of Art Nouveau enamel jewelry!
