For sale is a wonderful antique 19th century pillow cover in the quilt pattern called "Robbing Peter to Pay Paul" that I purchased from a dealer in California. I think that it may have been made in Pennsylvania, but I can't verify that. The pillow cover is completed in 3 wonderful early fabrics, and measures about 20 1/2" x 20". It is in very nice antique condition, although the fabrics on the front have faded over the years, and you can see what they originally looked like by looking through the opening to the inside of the piece. The pinkish red has faded from the original bright red, and the brown print was actually originally a green print. The backing fabric doesn't appear to have faded, although I don't know for sure. There are no holes, rips, or stains on the pillow cover. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a wonderful addition to your primitive decor!
