For sale is a terrific antique late 19th to early 20th century handmade naive folk art black curly haired dog stuffed toy that has been in my collection for awhile now. The fur appears to have been made by weaving black wool yarn through brown knit fabric, although I don't know for sure. The dog's eyes are made with fairly large black glass top straight pins with red felt behind them, and there are remnants of white fur around the dog's feet. It is stuffed with either straw or excelsior, and measures about 8" tall, 10" long, and 4" wide. The dog is in very nice antique condition. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a charming addition to your collection of antique folk art stuffed animals, especially if you love dogs!
