For sale is a delicate, and I believe rare, Victorian lace wedding underskirt that I found at a vintage store in Ogden, Utah. It is made of of tulle that has little circles woven into the fabric, and has vertical rows of embroidered satin ribbon that end with silk and lace flowers at the bottom. There is additional pleating all the way around. The piece also has a short train back, and the waistline appears to be linen. It closes in the back with hooks and eyes. The underskirt was made for a very petite woman, with the waist measuring only 22". The length is about 41" in the front and 50" in the back. It is in nice antique condition, with overall light browning from age, and a few small brown spots, and there is a hole near the bottom in the back, which is remarkable for such an old and delicate item. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a fabulous addition to your collection of antique Victorian fashions!
